TO ALL CC-WNY MEMBERS:
As we all know the tragedy of Flight 3407 happened right in our backyard,
fifty lives were lost including two Chinese. One of the two was one of our
old CC-WNY club members, Mr. GUO Zhaofang, his name still is in our current
club membership directory. Mr. GUO is survived by his wife WANG Ping (working
in Roswell Park Cancer Institute) and his 15 year old son. His 82 years old
parents currently live in Beijing China.
Our club officers have worked hard to help WANG Ping and her son to go
through their most difficult time of their life. Many of our members also
expressed their condolence and supports. On Saturday 2/21/09, our club had
raised more than $2000.00 for the family in lieu of future education fund
for his son (Kevin). Donations may be accepted at the memorial service and
one more time next Saturday morning during Chinese School. Flowers are also
welcome for the memorial service. One flower basket was ordered under the
name of the CC-WNY.
You are encouraged to come to the memorial service to pay the respect and
support for Mr. Guo's family.

Visitation: 5:00-6:00PM, Memorial Service: 6-7PM
